This policy explains how Vianney Godbout, residential real estate broker (OACIQ license D7980), affiliated with The Agency Montreal, collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use this website (bettercallv.com), in accordance with Quebec's Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information (Bill 25).
Information collected
This site includes several forms. Depending on which one you fill out, we collect:
- Contact form: name, email address, phone number (if provided), intent (buy, sell, invest, rent, other), and the content of your message;
- Free valuation form: property address, property type, selling timeline, general condition, name, email, and phone;
- Free guide download (lead magnet): email address and explicit consent to receive communications;
- Newsletter: email address and explicit consent, with an unsubscribe mechanism included in every email.
Like most websites, our host may automatically collect non-identifying technical data (browser type, pages visited, time on site) for usage statistics purposes, through a privacy-respecting analytics tool (no third-party advertising profiling). If an analytics tool that drops non-essential cookies is activated, a Bill 25-compliant consent banner will be shown, with refusal as easy as acceptance.
Use of information
Your information is used only to:
- Respond to your request and follow up by email or phone;
- Prepare a valuation or manage an ongoing purchase, sale, rental, or investment file;
- Send you the downloaded document and, if you consented, relevant follow-up communications;
- Send you the newsletter if you have explicitly consented, until you unsubscribe.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
Retention and sharing
Information tied to a contact, valuation, or guide download request is kept for 3 years following your last contact with us, then deleted or anonymized, unless a transaction file is opened, in which case OACIQ's record-keeping obligations for real estate brokers apply instead. Email addresses subscribed to the newsletter are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your information may be shared with The Agency Montreal (real estate agency) and technical service providers (hosting, transactional email, newsletter) strictly within the scope of providing the service, under appropriate confidentiality agreements.

In accordance with Bill 25, Vianney Godbout is designated as the person responsible for the protection of personal information for Better Call V. Any question, complaint, or request regarding your personal information can be directed to him at the contact details below.
Your rights
Under Bill 25, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected;
- Withdraw your consent to any processing based on that consent (e.g. newsletter);
- Request the deletion of your information, subject to legal retention obligations.
